Rum Old Fashioned

Aged rum stirred with demerara and bitters. Toffee and spice.

Ingredients

  • 60 ml2 ozAged rum
  • 7 ml¼ ozRich demerara syrup (2:1)
  • 2 dashes2 dashesAngostura bitters

Makes one drink, about 65 ml before ice.

Method

  1. Add everything to a mixing glass. Fill with ice and stir for about 30 seconds, until very cold.
  2. Strain into a rocks glass over one large cube.
  3. Garnish: orange peel.
